Abstract

Introduction: This study associates psychosocial risk factors with burnout syndrome criteria in construction workers. Methods: Fifty-two workers in the State of Mexico were studied. The study was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, analytical, and correlational in design. Materials: Reference Guide III "Identification and Analysis of Psychosocial Risk Factors and Evaluation of the Organizational Environment in the Workplace" and Burnout Questionnaire. Results: The group with the least seniority perceived "Lack of control and autonomy over work," while the group with the most seniority perceived "Influence of family responsibilities" and "Workplace violence". Regarding the burnout syndrome criteria, there were direct and inverse associations with psychosocial risk factors. Conclusions: The study population exhibits significant psychosocial risk factors. It is suggested that measures to promote, prevent, and control these factors be implemented.
