Resumen

Introduction. This study examines the relationship between organizational climate and job satisfaction among administrative workers in an intelligent building at a public university in Jalisco. Method. The design was quantitative, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, and correlational. The organizational climate questionnaire by Daniel J. Koys and Thomas A. DeCottis (1991) was used. Results. A medium-to-low correlation exists between organizational climate dimensions and job satisfaction. The strongest correlation is between the recognition dimension of climate and the participation dimension of satisfaction. Conclusions. There is a relationship between organizational climate and workers' perceived satisfaction. A good organizational climate may increase productivity, positive feelings, satisfaction, and adaptation, and reduce turnover, thereby benefiting job performance and society at large.
