Resumen

Introduction: In this paper, a review of the state of the art of the working and health conditions of professional drivers of road transport is carried out. In general, the typical lifestyle of a driver can include an irregular schedule, both work and sleep, lack of physical activity, poor eating habits and nutrition, mental stress and physical stress; so that workers are susceptible to health problems such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic and musculoskeletal disorders. It is recommended to promote, in addition to the knowledge of the risks and demands, education about nutrition and physical activity for collective labor; In addition, in terms of future research, study the way in which working conditions and health, affect the productivity or competitiveness of companies or cities.
