Exposure to organophosphorous pesticides and kidney damage. A sistematic review study / Exposición a plaguicidas organofosforados y daño renal. Un estudio de revisión sistemática.
Abstract
Introduction. Objective: The objective of this study was to perform a review of scientific studies about exposure to organophosphorus pesticides and how it is related to kidney disease, through cases and control studies and several proposes about the damage mechanism in systems, included the renal one.
Methods: Via searching of many scientific studies published until the date of elaboration of this review in data’s which make us sure the information was corrected, taking as principal types of studies: clinical cases, reviews, cohort and cases, and controls.
Results: In studies in vitro and in vivo where the main study population was winstar rats was found changes in renal tissue, as well as anomalies in nephron levels, specifically Bowman capsule damage and the highest concentration of pesticides in tubular lever.
Conclusion: Despite the lack of in vivo studies about the organophosphorus pesticides exposure and the action mechanisms to cause renal damage, if found some mechanisms proposed witch take the worker to developed renal damage, as well, it recommended keep searching to improve the life quality of the workers with has a chronic pesticide exposure.
