Resumen

Introduction: Musculoskeletal symptoms in the wrist and hand in office workers are mainly associated with prolonged use of computer equipment and lack of rest. At the same time, repetitive movements and awkward postures are decisive injury mechanisms. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a physiotherapy program to improve upper limb functionality in office workers with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and de Quervain's Tenosynovitis.

Method: A quasi-experimental design was conducted, and the authors collected data before and after treatment. The intervention consisted of a 12-week home stretching, neurodynamic mobilization, and muscle-strengthening program. Twenty-seven patients were included in the study previously diagnosed with one or both musculoskeletal disorders.

Results: 77% of the sample corresponds to the female sex, and the average age was 42.37±8.34 years. The level of disability was assessed through the DASH (Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand Scale) scale, obtaining a significant difference, p=.005.

Conclusions: The treatment favored upper limb function in work and daily life activities.
