Abstract
The development of Ergonomics in Mexico and Latin America cannot be understood without the participation and encouragement that Rosalio Ávila Chaurand has given to the discipline. Regardless of his professional and academic merits, his great human quality should also be mentioned, which makes him an ergonomist appreciated by all those who have collaborated with him.
