Resumen

Introduction: In the following study, the ergonomic risk factors and the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) were identified in workers of the manufacturing area dedicated to the elaboration of edible oil tripacks.


Method: The Nordic questionnaire of Kuorinka, and the REBA and SI methods were applied in 6 job positions and an integral medical evaluation using clinical maneuvers for the detection of signs of MSD by region was performed.


Results: The ergonomic risk levels were very high in most of the evaluated jobs. In the clinical examination the spine and elbow were the most affected regions.


Conclusions: The observed MSD in the sample was associated with the exposure time, seniority in the position, type of task and working conditions.
