Resumen

Introduction: No record was found in Mexico about the recognition of kidney cancer as an occupational disease. Case presentation: 54-year-old worker with a job as a molding operator in a plastic injection machine for 28 years, his activities consist of cleaning the mold of the machine, radical left nephrectomy is performed, and renal carcinoma clear cell variety was diagnosed after a pathology study. Discussion: It was determined that the solvent to which the worker was exposed was mostly trichloroethylene (TCE). However, only a sensory recognition was performed at the time of the investigation of the risk factors at work by the area of safety and hygiene; based on the Federal Labor Law and IMSS regulations in force, it was recognized as an occupational disease
