Resumen

This article is the first of a series of articles on the uses of Epidemiology in Occupational Health. Epidemiology as a tool of Public Health, the field to which Occupational Health belongs, has allowed us to understand the behavior of different diseases in human groups and to analyze information on events that have occurred in order to monitor the health of populations, in this case the working population, and to promote their health conditions.
