Musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomic factors in beneficiaries of the UMF No.75 / Trastornos músculo esqueléticos y factores ergonómicos en derechohabientes de la UMF No.75

Resumen

Introduction: To identify the presence of musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomic factors in beneficiaries of Family Medicine Unit No. 75. Methods: Analytical cross-sectional study, using non-probability quota sampling in 328 working beneficiaries aged 20 to 59 years, where the Nordic questionnaire was applied to detect initial musculoskeletal disorders and a data collection form to identify, analyze and describe probable ergonomic and sociodemographic factors present in the participant. Results: A statistically significant association (p<0.05) was found between musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and ergonomic factors. Among these factors, 318 participants (97%) presented with awkward postures, 286 (87.2%) with prolonged postures, and 284 (86.6%) with repetitive movements. Conclusions: Participants who performed static load work had a higher risk of developing MSDs than those who did not. Therefore, it is imperative to implement self-care practices to correct the ergonomic factors that cause them
